BLONDES FOR PEACE...it’s a no brainer, is the brainchild of Holly Sweet and her husband Michael Curran. The concept was born in a hotel room while preparing for the October 25, 2002 San Francisco peace march. Holly had materials to paint a sign to carry. Michael said, “We have to think of something different… not the same old “No Blood For Oil” stuff, but something with humor and levity… Something that will touch people’s hearts and tickle their funny bones. “How about “Blondes For Peace?” and Holly echoed, “It’s a no brainer”.
At the rally it soon became obvious to Holly, Michael, and their group of protesters that people embraced the concept BLONDES FOR PEACE...it’s a no brainer. Their small group soon became the center of attention and posed for numerous pictures as they continued to march for peace while making people smile with the happy artwork depicted on their signs promoting peace not war.
Holly and Michael came home realizing that this could be the kind of thing that made striving for peace fun, but more importantly it was a concept that could motivate people to stand up, take action, and join the march for peace.
They invite you to spread the word along side them…War is not fun.
